Oppo will begin the global rollout of ColorOS 17 on October 21, when the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max launch internationally with the new software preinstalled. The update will then reach older Find and Reno devices in stages, with the broader rollout continuing through the first three months of 2027.
The schedule follows ColorOS 17’s debut in China alongside the Find X10 Pro Max series. Oppo has also published details about the software’s interface changes, performance improvements, artificial intelligence features and privacy protections.

What changes with ColorOS 17
ColorOS 17 introduces Oppo’s “Living Flow Design,” a refinement of the translucent interface style used in earlier releases. Interactive controls are designed to compress, stretch or bounce in response to touch.
Under the interface, Oppo says its new Unified Rendering Architecture reduces the rendering workload by 25% and lowers RAM usage by 30%. The upgraded Laminar Flow Engine is also said to keep 25% more apps open in the background. Oppo claims that Gallery thumbnails load 50% faster from a cold start, while overall app launch stability improves by 55%.
AI and privacy features
ColorOS 17 adds AI Mind Pilot’s Agent Mode, which can organize and rename photos and files using their content and dates. Oppo says it can handle multi-step tasks, such as gathering travel photos, sorting them into albums and potentially creating a vlog.
AI Mind Space can turn documents and video links into structured, searchable information. It can also combine reference material with destination maps to create personalized travel plans.
Oppo says its Private Computing Cloud uses end-to-end encryption and a secure processing environment that the company itself cannot access. ColorOS 17 also adds post-quantum security capabilities for data transmission. On-device AI Call Guard is designed to detect synthetic voices and AI-generated face swaps during calls.
Oppo is already accepting blind pre-orders for the Find X10 series in the UK, but the full global launch is scheduled for October 21.
