Nothing’s CMF brand has launched its first portable speakers: the CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M. The two models combine Bluetooth 6.0, IP68 dust and water resistance, USB-C audio and support for multi-speaker listening, with prices starting at $59.
Both speakers support Stereo Mode when two identical units are paired. They also include Party Mode, which uses Auracast technology to connect two or more compatible speakers, including models from other brands. Sales are available through Nothing’s online store and select partners.
CMF Speaker S and Speaker M specifications
The smaller CMF Speaker S uses a custom-tuned 45mm full-range driver and two passive radiators. It delivers up to 10W RMS and has a frequency response ranging from 70Hz to 20kHz.
The larger CMF Speaker M is built around a dedicated 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter. Its combined output reaches 35W RMS, while its frequency response extends from 60Hz to 20kHz.
Both models use an adaptive tuning algorithm that Nothing says continuously analyzes playback and adjusts the output and equalization in real time. Users can also enable Ultra Bass or Wide Soundstage modes through the Nothing X app.
Features and connectivity
The Nothing X app provides four equalizer presets: Balanced, More Bass, More Treble and Voice. On the speakers themselves, a tactile control knob manages playback, track changes and volume, while also providing access to Ultra Bass.
Dedicated controls handle power, Bluetooth pairing and Auracast. The speakers support NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. Dual-device connectivity allows each speaker to remain connected to two audio sources at once.
USB-C audio is built in, giving users a wired listening option in addition to Bluetooth. That makes the speakers more flexible for devices that support USB-C sound output.
Battery life, colours and pricing
Both CMF speakers are rated for up to 18 hours of playback on a single charge at 50% volume with Ultra Bass enabled. A 10-minute charge provides up to one hour of listening, according to the company.
The CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M will be offered in white, turquoise, dark grey and orange. The Speaker S costs $59, while the higher-output Speaker M is priced at $109.
The launch gives CMF a presence in the portable audio market while keeping the two models differentiated by driver configuration, power output and price. The Speaker S is the smaller entry point, while the Speaker M is aimed at listeners who want more output from a two-way design.
