Verizon is highlighting the extra benefits included with its wireless plans, covering device security, family features, artificial intelligence tools, loyalty rewards and access to exclusive experiences. The carrier says several of these perks are available at no additional cost, although some require customers to opt in or meet eligibility requirements.
The benefits are designed to give Verizon customers more value beyond cellular connectivity. They include tools for blocking unwanted calls, sharing locations with family members, trying Google's premium AI service and earning rewards on monthly purchases.
Free security and family tools
The free tier of Verizon Digital Secure protects connected devices from malicious websites and vulnerabilities. Verizon is also offering customers one month of Digital Secure Premium at no cost, allowing them to try additional safety features before deciding whether to continue.
Verizon Family is included as well. Its features include location sharing and Safe Walk, which is intended to help customers stay connected with family members while they travel. The carrier also includes Call Filter, a service that identifies and blocks spam calls.
Verizon describes Call Filter as a “personal bouncer for your smartphone,” positioning it as a way to reduce unwanted interruptions and potentially suspicious calls.
Six months of Google AI Pro for eligible customers
Some eligible Verizon customers can receive six months of Google AI Pro at no cost. The offer adds access to Google's paid AI service without an immediate subscription charge, though Verizon's announcement does not specify which plans qualify beyond describing the offer as available to eligible customers.
Customers considering the offer should check their eligibility through Verizon's available account or plan information before attempting to activate it.
Verizon Loyalty and Verizon Dollars
Verizon's Loyalty program is available for opt-in to all postpaid customers on phone and connected-device plans. The program waives activation and upgrade fees, which Verizon says can save customers up to $40 per device.
It also provides 3% back in Verizon Dollars every month. Customers can redeem those rewards for devices, including smartphones, as well as accessories, gift cards and hotel rewards. Verizon says customers can opt into Verizon Dollars through the My Verizon app in a single step.
Weekly experiences and daily prize drops
Verizon Shine gives customers a chance to enter weekly drawings for major experiences. The program also offers daily prize drops that can include concert and sporting-event tickets, exclusive merchandise and gift cards.
Verizon listed several upcoming experiences: a Walt Disney Studios visit on October 19, a Radio City Rockettes experience on October 26, a conversation with Caleb Pressley on November 2, and a Jonas Brothers show on November 9 that includes time with Joe.
The combination of included services, loyalty rewards and promotional giveaways means the practical value varies by customer. Security and family tools are broadly tied to Verizon plans, while Google AI Pro and some rewards depend on eligibility or enrollment.
