iQOO has revealed additional details about the Neo12’s display ahead of the smartphone’s launch in China this month. The phone will use a 2K AMOLED panel with a 185Hz refresh rate, a combination aimed at high-resolution gaming and smoother motion.
The display was developed by Visionox and uses p-TSF technology. iQOO says it will reach a peak full-screen brightness of 2,200 nits while also supporting a minimum brightness of 1 nit for darker viewing conditions.
Neo12 display specifications
iQOO says the panel includes a dedicated 2K 185Hz high-performance driver chip and uses new Sky Mirror luminescent material. These components are intended to support the display’s high resolution and refresh rate while improving its overall performance.
The Neo12 will also offer 2K and 185 FPS super-resolution and super-frame processing. iQOO describes this combination as an industry first, although the company has not provided further details about how the feature will work across different games.
Gaming features and supported titles
The phone will support native 2K gaming profiles and will be compatible with more than 50 native 185 FPS gaming titles. That support could allow compatible games to make use of the display’s high refresh rate without relying solely on system-level processing.
Other gaming-focused features include hardware-accelerated ray tracing, glare protection, an in-game camera tool, and game visual filters. The Neo12 will also include Q-flex touch control technology, which iQOO previously introduced with the iQOO 16.
Snapdragon chip and 9,000mAh battery
Beyond the screen, iQOO has confirmed that the Neo12 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and paired with the company’s Q3 gaming chip. The additional chip is expected to support the phone’s gaming capabilities, although iQOO has not disclosed further specifications.
A 9,000mAh battery will power the device. iQOO has not yet revealed its charging speed, so the phone’s charging performance remains unknown.
The Neo12 will have a metal frame and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner built into the display. iQOO has not provided a complete specification list or detailed pricing in the information currently available.
