Oppo’s rumored Reno X could bring an unusual wide-format design to the company’s mid-range smartphone lineup. A tipster on X has shared the phone’s alleged main specifications, including a 6.35-inch display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series processor and a camera system built around two 200-megapixel sensors.

The Reno X has not been officially announced, so the leaked details should be treated as unconfirmed. The phone is reportedly being developed as a wide candybar device, a form factor that has recently drawn attention following the Huawei Pura X View.

Wide 120Hz display reportedly planned

According to the leak from Gadgetsdata on X, the Reno X will feature a 6.35-inch flat screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is said to use either a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio, although the exact format remains unclear.

That would make the Reno X noticeably wider than most current smartphones, which generally use taller aspect ratios. The leaked proportions would also distinguish it from Huawei’s Pura X View, whose 5:3 aspect ratio sits between the two formats mentioned for Oppo’s device.

Three high-resolution rear cameras

The reported camera setup is unusually ambitious for a phone expected to sit within Oppo’s Reno range. The Reno X allegedly includes a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera.

A second 200MP sensor is reportedly reserved for a periscope telephoto camera. If accurate, that would give the phone high-resolution sensors for both its main and long-range photography systems. The leak does not provide details about the telephoto camera’s optical zoom range or the other imaging features Oppo may use.

Dimensity chip and large battery

Powering the phone is said to be an unspecified MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series chipset. The leak does not identify the precise processor model, so its performance and efficiency cannot yet be assessed.

The Reno X is also expected to have a metal frame. A previous rumor claimed that Oppo could equip the phone with a 7,000mAh battery, although that capacity has not been confirmed alongside the latest specifications.

Positioning the device in the Reno family would be notable. Oppo’s Reno lineup is generally associated with mid-range phones, while a wide design and two 200MP cameras could give the Reno X a substantially different profile from the company’s more conventional models. Oppo has not confirmed the phone’s specifications, launch timing or availability.
