Apple has released the third public betas of iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, and watchOS 27.2. The updates arrive a few hours after Apple made the corresponding builds available to developers.

The public releases give members of Apple's beta program access to upcoming software before its wider release. Users who want to test the updates can register through Apple's beta testing website, then install the available software from the Software Update section on a supported device.

What is new in iOS 27.2

The most prominent addition in iOS 27.2 is Apple's redesigned Health app. Apple introduced the new design during its September iPhone event, and the update expands how the app presents health and fitness information.

The redesigned app includes new Insights and Longevity tabs. These sections provide additional ways to view and understand data collected by the Health app.

iOS 27.2 also adds a Health Age feature. According to the update details, it uses a user's health metrics to estimate a fitness age and compare it with the person's actual age.

Apple TV and Siri updates

The Apple TV app gains new profile options in the third beta software. The source material does not specify the full range of profile changes, but the addition is included among the updates arriving with the 27.2 releases.

Apple is also expanding the language availability of Siri AI. The feature is now available in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, adding support beyond its previously available languages.

How to install the public betas

Users must first sign up through Apple's beta testing website. After registration, the beta updates appear in the Software Update area of the Settings app on each compatible device.

The third public beta covers Apple's phone, tablet, Mac, and smartwatch platforms. iOS 27.2 includes the most detailed changes identified so far, while additional features are also included across the broader software updates.

Apple's public beta program allows participants to try the software ahead of its general availability, while the staggered developer and public releases let Apple continue testing the updates across a wider range of devices.
