Apple’s Siri AI rollout across its home products will happen in stages, rather than arriving on every compatible device at launch. HomeView and the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K will support Siri AI when they become available on November 13, while other devices will need a later software update.
The company’s latest HomePod mini 2 will ship on October 30, but Siri AI will not be available on it immediately. Apple also confirmed that the original HomePod mini will not receive the feature, despite an earlier report suggesting otherwise.
Apple devices getting Siri AI
The following products are scheduled to support Apple’s AI-enhanced Siri:
- HomeView: Siri AI available at launch on November 13.
- Apple TV 4K, fourth generation: Siri AI available at launch on November 13.
- Apple TV 4K, second and third generations: Support arrives with tvOS 27.2.
- HomePod mini 2: Ships October 30, with Siri AI planned for a future software update.
Apple is still describing Siri AI as a beta. On HomeView, Apple TV 4K, and HomePod mini 2, the feature will initially work in English and will be limited to the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Older Home devices will not support Siri AI
Apple’s compatibility list excludes several earlier products. The original HomePod mini and original HomePod will not support Siri AI. The first-generation Apple TV 4K will also be excluded because it does not support tvOS 27, as will the Apple TV HD.
Support for the second-generation HomePod remains unconfirmed. Mentions in website metadata suggest that compatibility could be possible, but Apple has not confirmed that the device will receive Siri AI.
What Siri AI requires at home
For supported HomePod and Apple TV 4K models, the owner of the home in the Home app must have an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad running the latest software. Siri AI must also be enabled and configured in a supported language.
Other household members generally will not need their own Apple Intelligence-enabled device after the feature is activated. The exception is when they use personal requests. HomeView does not require an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad for standard Siri AI use, although requests involving personal context still require one.
European Union availability
Siri AI is not available on the iPhone or iPad in the European Union, and that limitation carries over to supported home devices. HomeView will not launch in the EU, while Siri AI will be unavailable there on compatible Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 hardware.
