Apple’s latest devices are beginning to reach customers, with the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 launching first in Australia and New Zealand.

Customers who pre-ordered in those markets are starting to receive their devices on Friday, September 18. The launch will also bring the first opportunity for Australian shoppers to collect reserved products or buy them directly from Apple Stores.

Australia gets the first Apple Store launch

New Zealand does not have Apple retail stores, making Australia the first market where customers can visit an Apple Store to purchase the new products in person. Store inventory should provide an early indication of availability ahead of the wider international rollout.

Most iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max configurations are expected to have sufficient supply at launch. Customers who did not place a pre-order may still find the new iPhone models through Apple, mobile carriers or large retailers, including Target, Walmart and Best Buy.

When the new iPhones and accessories launch worldwide

Following Australia and New Zealand, sales and deliveries are scheduled to expand through Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. The rollout will take place across local markets, with some Apple Stores opening at 8 a.m. local time to support reserved-device pickups and walk-in purchases.

The staggered schedule means customers in later regions will have to wait until their local launch day before collecting pre-ordered products or checking store inventory. Availability may vary by product, configuration and retailer as each market begins selling the new devices.

First impressions will arrive with launch-day deliveries

As the first orders arrive, customers are expected to share photos and initial impressions across social networks and online communities. Those early reports should offer a first look at the retail packaging, hardware and out-of-box experience before the devices become available in every region.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are the headline products in this launch, while the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 extend the release across Apple’s wearable and audio lineups. Buyers considering an upgrade can now compare availability at Apple Stores, carriers and major retailers as the rollout moves around the world.
