Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 are currently available with discounts of roughly one-third, making the recently launched foldables considerably easier to justify. Google’s Pixel 11 series is also reduced by between €100 and €180, while Samsung’s larger Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra receives a smaller cut of about €250.
Galaxy Z Fold8 gets the biggest price cut
The base Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is now listed at €1,430. The 512GB version is discounted as well, although its higher price makes the storage upgrade less attractive at the moment.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, which follows last year’s Z Fold7, is around €250 cheaper. Its larger form factor may suit buyers who prioritise screen space, while the standard Fold8 is aimed at people who prefer a more compact design. The two models therefore target different use cases rather than offering a simple good-better-best choice.
For context, the source notes that Apple’s 256GB iPhone Duo starts at €2,300, although that device has not yet been tested. Samsung’s discount gives the Fold8 a significant price advantage against that starting point.
Galaxy Z Flip8 is around one-third off
The Galaxy Z Flip8 receives a similarly substantial reduction. Samsung’s 2026 clamshell foldable uses the Exynos 2600 chipset, replacing the Exynos 2500 in the previous model, but its specifications otherwise change little. It retains a 4,300mAh battery and 25W charging rating.
Testing found that the newer Flip8 lasts longer on a charge and recharges faster in practice than the official specifications might suggest. Thermal throttling remains an issue, however, so the lower price does not eliminate the phone’s performance limitations.
Pixel 11 range receives smaller reductions
Google’s Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are discounted by between €100 and €180. The standard Pixel 11 shares many features with the Pro model, but the Pro adds several advantages that may make its higher price worthwhile.
The Pixel 11 Pro improves on the Pixel 10 Pro, although the generation-to-generation changes are limited. The Tensor G6 chipset is also described as underwhelming, which makes a larger discount particularly important when comparing the phone with competing flagship models.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL pairs the Pro hardware with a 6.8-inch display instead of the Pro’s 6.3-inch panel. Its larger battery delivers an Active Use Score roughly an hour higher than the standard Pro, and battery life is notably better than that of last year’s Pixel 10 Pro XL.
Pixel 11 Pro Fold remains difficult to recommend
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold receives a discount similar to the other Pixel 11 models, but its high starting price still works against it. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is cheaper, thinner at 8.9mm versus 10.1mm, and lighter at 215g versus 239g.
Samsung’s foldable also has a larger battery and a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, compared with the Pixel’s Tensor G6. Camera hardware differs substantially too, with the Galaxy using a 200MP main sensor and the Pixel using a 48MP main sensor. Those differences make Samsung’s offer more compelling for shoppers focused on hardware value.
