Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the iPhone Duo through its online store and Apple Store app. The first foldable iPhone is available to pre-order in more than 70 countries and regions, with launch-day deliveries scheduled for Friday, October 23.

Customers who prepared an order using Apple’s “Get Ready” option can complete checkout in a few taps. If the purchase option does not appear, Apple’s storefront or app may need to be refreshed before ordering becomes available.

iPhone Duo price and availability

The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB of storage. Apple offers the device in star white and night sky finishes. Buyers can also use Apple’s financing and upgrade options, including a lease program operated by Klarna. Under a 24-month lease, pricing starts at $57.99 per month.

Apple says customers trading in an eligible iPhone 13 or newer can save between $175 and $885. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are also accepting pre-orders, with each carrier offering its own trade-in promotions and discounts. Customers should review the conditions attached to those deals before committing.

What the first foldable iPhone offers

The iPhone Duo has a 5.4-inch screen when closed and a 7.6-inch display when opened. Its wider, iPad-like aspect ratio is designed for use in multiple positions and orientations. At 5.2mm thick when unfolded, Apple describes it as the thinnest iPhone it has made.

The phone combines an aluminum and titanium frame with ceramic fiber antenna inserts and support ribs. Its hinge contains more than 100 components. Unlike recent iPhone models that use Face ID, the iPhone Duo relies on Touch ID. It also has a two-lens rear camera system without a telephoto camera.

AppleCare+ and possible supply constraints

AppleCare+ may be worth considering for buyers concerned about repair costs. Some iPhone Duo repairs can cost as much as $1,499 without a protection plan.

Rumors have suggested that production problems could limit initial supplies. That could make launch-day delivery harder to secure if demand is strong, although Apple has not provided a confirmed inventory forecast. Buyers who want the phone on October 23 may therefore need to complete their orders promptly.

Apple says its specialists can help customers compare payment methods, upgrade choices, and trade-in options. More information about the device and purchasing support is available from Apple.
