Amazon has introduced the first pre-order discount for Apple’s newly announced HomeView home hub, reducing the price of the Space Gray and Starlight models to $289.99 from $299. The deal represents a savings of about $9 and arrives one day after Apple announced the device.

HomeView pre-order price and delivery date

The discounted HomeView price is currently available through Amazon for the Space Gray and Starlight finishes. Amazon lists the device at $289.99, compared with its regular price of $299.

Amazon is showing an estimated delivery date of November 13, which matches the product’s official launch date. That means customers placing a pre-order can expect the device to arrive around the time it becomes generally available, based on the retailer’s current estimate.

First discount for Apple’s new home hub

This is the first reported price reduction for HomeView since Apple introduced it. At the time of writing, Amazon is the only retailer offering a discount on the device.

The reduction is relatively small, but it gives early buyers an opportunity to pay less than the announced price without waiting for a later promotion. Customers interested in a specific finish should check the listing before ordering, as the offer applies to the Space Gray and Starlight versions identified in the deal.

What buyers should know

HomeView is positioned as a home hub device, and Apple announced it just ahead of its November 13 launch. The available information does not indicate whether the discounted price will remain in place through launch or expand to additional colors.

For shoppers considering a pre-order, the main choice is whether the modest saving is worth committing before the product officially arrives. The current Amazon listing combines the lower price with an estimated delivery date on launch day, making it the earliest identified opportunity to buy HomeView below its standard $299 price.
